Go Mezamē! Our Editor Mascot Takes on Yuru-Verse 2025

Yuru-Verse 2025 was held on September 27 and 28 at Sumida Park in Tokyo. The annual event brings together mascot characters, known as yuru-chara, representing local regions and companies from across Japan to compete in a lively contest.

Making its debut on behalf of Seven & i Holdings, Mezamē energized the venue with a variety of activities — from a morning stretch session and booth exhibition to a lively stage performance featuring its original dance.

What's Yuru-Verse?

Yuru-Verse is a hybrid event that combines in-person gatherings with virtual reality experiences, allowing fans to vote for their favorite yuru-chara mascots both on-site and online.

Making its first-ever entry in the contest, Mezamē — who serves as the "Editor" of Asupresso — received enthusiastic support from many employees throughout the two-month voting period. To express gratitude and help more people learn about Asupresso and the character, Mezamē joined the live event on Saturday.

Start the Day with a Stretch!

On the morning of the first day, Mezamē led a lively exercise session — a perfect start to the two-day event! Participants joined in a series of stretches taken from Asupresso's popular "Mezamecchi" column.

Amid the refreshing morning air, Mezamē's upbeat movements and cheerful music naturally encouraged children to join in, filling the entire venue with a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

At the Mezamē booth, guests were warmly welcomed and many enjoyed greeting and taking photos with our beloved character. Visitors had the chance to try their luck at a roulette game, where winners received fun prizes such as original Mezamē button badges, drink coasters, and even Seven Premium snacks.

Each time a prize was handed out, smiles spread among participants, creating a friendly and joyful atmosphere around the booth.

Three Minutes to Shine: Mezamē on Stage!

The Yuru-Verse event features a "3-Minute Appeal Time," giving each mascot three minutes on the main stage to introduce themselves and show their charm. Visitors enjoyed the variety and passion of each performance.

Mezamē gave an energetic performance to its original song "Me★za★Me~! Let's Go!" The upbeat melody filled the air as the audience joined in the dance, turning the short performance into a lively, unified moment for everyone present.

First Challenge, Great Results!

On Sunday, the announcement of results finally arrived.
Amid fierce competition, Mezamē achieved an impressive 63rd place in its debut appearance at Yuru-Verse 2025.

A big thank-you to everyone who supported Mezamē!
Your warm cheers, both in person and online, made this great result possible.

To continue supporting everyone's "awakening to a better tomorrow," Mezamē will keep sharing smiles and positive energy through asupresso.
